Practice Focus and Background:

Fred Zinkhan is an experienced litigator who has appeared before all levels of Courts throughout Saskatchewan, as well as in the Queen's Bench level in Manitoba and Alberta and in the Supreme Court of Canada.  He has also argued cases before numerous boards, tribunals and administrative law bodies.  

Fred is a founding partner of Olive Waller Zinkhan & Waller LLP, formed in 1977.  He is a member of the Canadian and Regina Bar Associations, the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (Civil Litigation and Business Torts Sections).  He is past Chair and member of the Regina Development Appeals Board and has lectured at the Bar on civil court procedure and at continuing legal education seminars for the Law Society and Trial Lawyers Association.

Fred leads the Firm's litigation group and specializes in complex civil trial work for both plaintiffs and defendants.  His practice also includes commercial litigation, civil jury trials, alternative dispute resolution, civil injunctions, litigation strategic planning, class action defence work, and complex family law litigation.

Publications and Presentations

Fred has presented to various levels of Government, including municipal councils and committees of Provincial Cabinet.  Fred's most recent speaking engagement involved a lecture to senior practitioners in Regina and Saskatoon under the CLE Select Seminars on the topic of "Technology Update for Senior Law Practitioners" (2010).
