Fred is a founding partner of Olive Waller Zinkhan & Waller LLP, formed in 1977. He was born and raised in Regina and attended the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated, with distinction, from the College of Law in 1974 after completing his undergraduate degree in 1971. Fred was admitted to the Law Society of Saskatchewan in 1975 and has over 28 years experience in Saskatchewan courts.

Fred is a member of the Canadian and Regina Bar Associations, the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (Civil Litigation and Business Torts Section). He is past Chair and member of the Regina Development Appeals Board and has lectured at the bar on civil court procedure and at continuing legal education seminars for the Law Society and Trial Lawyers Association.

Fred has appeared in judicial centres throughout Saskatchewan and in every level of court in Saskatchewan, as well as in the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also argued cases before numerous boards, tribunals and administrative law bodies.

Fred leads the firm's litigation team and specializes in complex civil trial work for both Plaintiffs and Defendants. His practice also includes commercial litigation, civil jury trials, alternate dispute resolution, civil injunctions, litigation strategic planning and family law.
